In the upcoming psychological drama, DARK ROOM, we meet Alan, a man so lost in grief he’s trying to erase all memory of his late wife. He walls himself off in the quiet red light of his darkroom, pushing away his son in the process.

When he discovers a lost, undeveloped roll of film, he is forced to develop a past he thought was buried. The images that emerge in the chemical trays threaten to destroy his carefully constructed memories. One photo suggests a deep betrayal, but another, taken in secret, reveals a moment of profound love and fatherhood he never knew was captured.

At its heart, "Dark Room" is a story about the messy, beautiful, and complicated truth of our memories, and how a father and son must confront the past to find their way back to each other.

The Project:

Led by Pink Moose Productions, the "Dark Room" project is a love letter to the "chemical miracle" of analog photography—a craft we are passionate about preserving.

To bring this vision to life with the authenticity it deserves, we are launching a Seed&Spark crowdfunding campaign. These funds will go directly toward securing the 35mm camera equipment and authentic darkroom materials needed to tell this story with the visual integrity it demands. Our goal is to complete all production and post-production and have a finalized film ready for its festival run by early 2026.
