"Daring" is a short film script that explores the fragile space between ambition and despair. The story centers on Sophie, a young dancer who, after a devastating professional rejection , spirals into a deep existential crisis. Feeling "trapped... by waiting" for a breakthrough that may never come , her optimism collapses.
The script charts her internal battle as she isolates herself and struggles to connect with her supportive but uncomprehending friends, Rene and Desmond. Through cyclical, dream-like conversations and a private battle with her faith , Sophie must confront the crushing "weight of hoping". She ultimately finds the strength to reclaim her art and her will, choosing to find courage in the face of uncertainty and "Believe. In. Eventual. Good".
